Introducing the Alberta Energy Daily Report!
Since de-regulation of the Alberta electricity sector in 2000 the nuances of the new power market and its inter-relationship with the natural gas market in Alberta has been deftly tracked by the Chase Report provided daily by Bob Hesson drawing on his practical experience as a trader in the energy sector. This report and its vast and comprehensive databases has provided the basis for key insights into the future as well as a reliable third party verification of historic price levels.
Neutral Markets is pleased to announce a collaboration between ourselves and Bob Hesson for a continuation of the key processes and insights into both the power market and the gas markets in Alberta.
As the electricity sector enters its most significant structural change to the market since de-regulation (REM) and as some of the key signposts are removed from the retail sector (end of the RRO) the need for reliable third party data and access to expert commentary and analysis is heightened.
In response, the new Neutral Markets Alberta Daily Report will provide daily updates on key market fundamentals from the power market, key historic graphic tracking of these fundamentals and a commentary on what to look for as patterns emerge. Additionally, Neutral Markets will be providing broader market commentary from knowledgeable and experienced market experts. For example, watch for the daily ‘What does this mean?’ to add context to the daily report and authored by Alberta energy expert Sheldon Fulton.
Initially the Neutral Markets Alberta Daily Report will be available as a daily report on the Neutral Markets public website with the intent to migrate it to the Neutral Data subscription service in the New Year.
We welcome and encourage your feedback and discussion. We will post updates on our LinkedIn page to provide a forum for public comment.
